🔥 PROJECT HANDOVER | IKEA GALWAY 🔥
This week, the Arcadian Fire & Security team successfully handed over one of our largest and most exciting fire alarm projects to date — a state-of-the-art Sygno-fi wireless fire detection and alarm system at the new IKEA Galway.
IKEA wanted a modern, high-performance fire detection solution — and that’s exactly what was delivered.
📡 The project began with a comprehensive wireless radio survey, allowing us to design and plan the Sygno-fi infrastructure throughout the premises before our installation team arrived on site.
The completed system included:
🔥 Sygno-fi wireless fire detection throughout
🔥 Full coverage of rooms, halls, stairwells and voids
🔥 Wireless manual call points and alarm devices
🔥 Inputs interfaced with the existing landlord fire alarm systems
🔥 Output I/O interfaces integrated back to our fire alarm control system
🔥 Lift interfaces
🔥 MOV / smoke ventilation interfaces
🔥 Fire roller door interfaces
🔥 Access control integration
🔥 Comprehensive cause & effect testing
Despite the scale and complexity of the project, the system was professionally installed, programmed, tested and commissioned in just a matter of days, ready for final handover.
Projects like this demonstrate the huge advantages that modern wireless fire technology can offer — particularly on large commercial sites where minimising cabling, disruption and installation time is critical.
